8. Extracurriculars and Enrichment
- World Ocean School strives to use sail training as a platform for students to work on their leadership skills, communication abilities, and strengthen connections with their peers and the natural world. Every year we offer our signature program, Summer Ambassador, for students around the country. This year the program is for 12-15 year olds. Students will board our vessel in Boston Harbor on August 2nd, and we will sail throughout New England before returning to Boston on August 12th. The program cost will be covered by the Charles Hayden Foundation, so this program is free for Boston Prep students. Apply online here! Questions? Reach out to World Ocean School Program Manager Maddy Sandler (she/her) at maddy@worldoceanschool.org.
- Boston Prep high school students have the opportunity to extend their learning through the summer enrichment programs that promote personal, academic and professional growth. Boston Prep high school students are required to participate in a summer enrichment activity each summer. Summer opportunities are shared with high school students regularly, and high school students and their families can learn about these summer enrichment opportunities here which include youth employment opportunities and a variety of summer programs. If high school students or families have questions about summer enrichment, they can contact Ms. Fontes at fina.fontes@student.bostonprep.org.
