SCHOOL NEWS
* Mary Bryan Goals - Each year we identify a very specific achievement goal to work on as a whole school. This year, we are working toward improving our math ISTEP score by 5%. More specifically, we want 289 or more of our 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders to pass the math portion of ISTEP (which is now called ILEARN). To get this done, all of the teachers are working to help kids be better story problem solvers and be more proficient at writing about their math solutions. The first thing we have been working on is something called "Notice and Wonder". Ask your kids about it!
-Jennifer Dishman, Mary Bryan Master Teacher
* The Book Fair and Santa Shop is a little over a month away Dec. 3rd-Dec. 10th. It is not too early to sign up to help, so look at your calendars now! We could not put on a book fair and Santa Shop without volunteers! You are greatly appreciated! Use the link below or head over to our Mary Bryan PTA Facebook page!
