EBC Family,

You outdid yourselves on the spread for the Fish Fry last night. There was so much delicious food! Thank you to Caleb, Troy, Bernard, and Richard for preparing and frying the fish! I hope you had a chance to visit with some of our brothers and sisters from the Hispanic Church. I’m grateful that they were able to join us.

The month of September is set aside for the Edna McMillan State Missions Offering. Our State Missions Offering this year funds our Oklahoma Baptist Disaster Relief Teams, Global Missions, and provides support for hundreds of bi-vocational pastors in our state. You can give with an envelope or online - just write “State Missions Offering” in the memo line.

On Sunday, September 24 we will have a Church-wide Brunch and our Lakeside Service at Crowder Lake. Brunch will begin at 10:00 a.m. with the Service and baptisms immediately after. It is a potluck Brunch so bring plenty of food to share; and don’t forget your lawn chairs!

All girls in Youth are invited to the OKYM Girls Conference

We are leaving at 8am and plan to return from Edmond around 6pm.

Cost: $20 + money for a meal.

The $20 will cover the entrance fee, lunch, and a t-shirt.

Society tells young ladies they have to be "extra" or the "main character", but how does following Jesus change that? Join us for Basic as we take a look at how Jesus makes us different and and how that impacts how we interact with those around us.

Sunday, September 17 at 5pm. We will have an ordination service, immediately followed by a reception.

Lake Side Brunch & Service

Join us at Crowder Lake Sunday, September 24 at 10am for brunch followed by a service. You will need to bring a dish to share and lawn chairs.

Embrace Grace

Emmanuel Baptist Church is launching a new ministry called Embrace Grace. This group provides emotional, practical, and spiritual support for single, young pregnant women who find themselves in an unexpected pregnancy.

The primary goal of Embrace Grace is to empower the church to be a safe and nonjudgmental place for these young women to run to when they find out they are pregnant. It is a 12-week program that teaches them about God's love and grace. A at the end we will give them a baby shower to honor them for choosing life and to help provide for their baby’s needs.

We need your help! Would you prayerfully consider coming along side us as we launch this ministry? You can serve weekly in the group meetings, give rides, sign up to bring a meal, or serve at the events that are a part of this program.
