District & Campus Highlights
Fine Arts Teacher of the Year
Congratulations to Mrs. Rainey for her nomination for the Fine Arts Teacher of the Year! There are six core values that serve as the driving force behind daily operations within the Fine Arts department and the individual decisions as professionals in Frisco ISD: Attitude; Professionalism; Character; Integrity; Accountability; and Dedication. Mrs. Rainey exhibits these attributes daily, and we are so proud that she has been nominated for Frisco ISDs Fine Arts Teacher of the Year.
Here are a few things that Vandeventer teachers had to say about Mrs. Rainey:
- "She goes above and beyond in her profession by organizing fun activities, art shows and connecting with local community." Dedication
- "Leanne has a great understanding of the curriculum and is always a positive model for her colleagues. Leanne makes sure that all teachers understand, and do not feel isolated on their campuses when planning lessons, or learning new art techniques (she's always willing to share)." Dedication
- "Leanne goes well beyond her teaching duties to enhancing our Visual Art department in many ways. For example, she is always the first to volunteer for any opportunity that arises whether it be a mentor to our new hires, serving on the curriculum writing and PLC teams, or jumping in to provide help at a moment's notice. She also puts in extra hours to provide unique opportunities for her students such as implementing a cross-curricular Fine Art show on her campus each year. Her dedication to her students doesn't go unnoticed." Dedication
"Leanne is an extremely dedicated individual, She is always going above and beyond to do fun and interesting projects with her students. She is often promoting her students work on social media to bring awareness. She is always helpful to her peers by sharing lessons and resources and willing to step up in times of need." Dedication
- "This is my first year at Frisco ISD and Leanne has been my mentor helping me get acclimated to the district. On top of being the TAEA regional representative, and being on the Secondary Visual Arts PLC & curriculum writing team, she is always there to help another art teacher if they are in need. She is one of the kindest, hardworking art teachers that I have met here. She is dedicated to her students, and fellow art teachers here at Frisco ISD." Dedication
- "Leanne is the best example of a teacher with STRONG character. she is continually modeling excellence for her students, co-workers, and administration by working to establish relationships which are positive and encouraging. Leanne is highly influential to her Visual Arts peers always willing to share and promote knowledge. Leanne displays such as integrity by modeling how to do the right thing even when it's hard; honesty when she speaks to colleagues and staff; courage when she takes on new challenges; loyalty by being a reliable friend and confident, fortitude by putting in long days and hours while also caring for her family , and other important virtues that promote good behavior. These character traits define who she is as a person and highly influence positive choices others make in their lives." Character
- "Ms. Rainey is passionate about her classes and shows excitement in her art lessons." Character
