Pecatonica #321 Curriculum Corner

It’s back! Kindergartners through fourth graders will show off their talents in “Spotlight on the Stars 8” at Pecatonica High School on Wednesday, April 6th at 6:30 p.m. There are a variety of talents to be shared including: singing, dancing, tumbling routines, piano solos, dog tricks, humorous acts, and more.

Come on out for this free and fun event! Pecatonica elementary students are under the direction of Ms. Tammy Durand.

Kindergarten students celebrated Dr. Suess Week during the month of March. During their celebration, they dressed the part of what they want to be when they grow up!

Pecatonica Middle School held its Energy Fair on Thursday, March 11. We waited a long time to renew this event since it was canceled in March of 2020 due to Covid. Eighth grade STEM students did an amazing job researching renewable energy sources and created presentation boards and working models. Parents were invited to attend and view all of the wonderful projects created by our students. To celebrate the students' hard work, PCMS also held a spirit week focusing on energy and energy conservation. Here is a list of our winners:

This is an award which recognizes the following outstanding qualities: leadership, a positive attitude toward learning, a desire for improvement, enthusiasm about school, being helpful to others, and involvement in extracurricular activities. Students are nominated for Student of the Month by one or more of the staff at Pecatonica High School. Students win this honor only once per year. Students were honored through announcements and received a certificate at the beginning of the Board of Education meeting on Monday, March 21.
