Principal Notes
We are a month into second semester and in two weeks we will post the 6 week progress grades. We encourage you to check grades at any point, but when the 6 week grades are posted it will show students what their grades would be if the semester were to end at this time. Should your child, or you, ever have a question about a grade in Infinite Campus, please encourage them to reach out to their teachers. It is important for their learning that they stay on top of their work not only for their grade, but also for their learning as classes build on the prior knowledge and previous lessons. Counselors are also able to assist students with an academic plan if they need support.
Registration for next year classes has already begun. The counselors are meeting with all the juniors, sophomores and freshmen about their academic plan for the upcoming school year. As the counselors meet with the students, they are not only ensuring that requirements for graduation are being met, but they are also having conversations regarding their post secondary plans and aligning the courses with those plans. If you have any questions about the next year and the courses your child has signed up for, please reach out to your child's counselor.
Juniors will be taking the ACT Test in March. A letter was mailed out to all of the students and families regarding this test last Friday, February 10th. If you, or your student, have questions, please reach out to our test coordinator, Mrs. Amy Koszarek. koszareka@westosha.k12.wi.us
Construction continues and there has been a lot of progress. Our District Administrator, Mr. Gendron, will be sending a facility project update later this week. I appreciate the students and staff for their understanding and support this year as we all deal with the ongoing construction and the many changes we have had to make this year due to accommodate the construction.
If you ever have questions or concerns please feel free to reach out to me at any time.
Have a great week and take care,
Kevin Kitslaar

Counselor Notes
Hello Falcon Families, the Student Services team would like to update you on what has been happening in our corner. We are continually working to empower our students to become lifelong learners, college-and-career ready, and responsible members of a global society.
***A Schoology group has been created for each grade level. The Student Services team will use this to send any necessary information or updates that are specific to each grade level. We will also continue adding resources under the resource tab, so students can access data whenever needed.***
Scheduling Updates
Counselors have been meeting individually with juniors to review their course requests. Pre-set appointment times were shared with students in Schoology, in-person, and they also received a Google invite from their counselor. Sophomore appointments will begin later this month, and freshmen will meet with their counselor in March. Freshmen should keep an eye out for their Google invite later this month. These meetings are required and are an important part of students’ Academic and Career Plan to solidify final course selections to align with their interests, as well as to review other important information.

After-School Tutoring
We are continuing to offer after-school tutoring Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays in room 301, run by WCHS teachers. No sign-up is necessary, see our main website with tutoring dates. There are also tutoring options available through private organizations. Click the link above to see some local options. These organizations are not affiliated with Central High School, and often have a price attached.
