In alignment with a top recommendation from the Learning, Equity, and Accelerated Pathways (LEAP) Task Force to expand students’ access to extended learning opportunities, RIDE through Enrollri.org, a one-stop-shop for free courses administered by colleges, local education agencies (LEAs), community-based organizations (CBOs), and municipalities, made available over 5,700 seats spanning 288 courses offered by 61 providers for students statewide.

Minutes from your front door you can find enjoy the beauty and adventure of hiking through marked trails maintained by the Smithfield Nature Conservatory. Tennis Lessons – All Ages –

Tennis lessons are taught for boys, girls and adults and all sessions are held Monday thru Friday starting at the end of June for 7 weeks. All ages and levels of ability are welcome to participate. A registration fee is charged for this program.

This program is for children ages 5 and older. In this program, children will make their own stamps out of special foam. Then, we will use ink with stamps to make different designs on paper.

NAMI Rhode Island (the local chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness) will offer a Family-to-Family course beginning Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at 6:30 P.M. This is a free and virtual 8-session educational program for family, significant others and friends of people with mental health conditions. It is a designated evidenced-based program. This means that research shows that the program significantly improves the coping and problem-solving abilities of the people closest to a person with a mental health condition. The following resources are available to all school-age children and families in RI.

Kids’ Link RI™ is a behavioral health triage service and referral network. A program offered in collaboration with Gateway Healthcare, Lifespan, Hasbro Children's Hospital and Bradley Hospital, Kids’ Link RI is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to help triage children and youth in need of mental health services and refer them to treatment providers.​

The free, confidential phone line, 1-855-543-5465, connects parents and caregivers to an experienced clinician that can help them access children’s services in Rhode Island, and determine the best place to go for treatment and counseling.

Contact Kids’ Link RI™ if your child is:

• Feeling excessive anger or sadness.
• Lashing out at siblings, friends, and adults.
• Having behavior problems at school.
• Having severe worries.
• Hurting himself/herself or others.

The Access Center at Bradley Hospital fields hundreds of calls per week from physicians, parents, schools, and community providers.

Clinicians are specially trained to perform evaluations for children and adolescents in need of inpatient, outpatient, or partial hospitalization and will direct each child to the most appropriate and effective services for his or her needs.

The Access Center is not open on weekends. Patients in need of emergency services during those hours should be referred to their local hospital emergency room.
