Glenn Public School Eagle Post
December 2023
Superintendent's Nest
Welcome to the last month of 2023! Time flies when you are learning and having fun! Living in Michigan and near the lakeshore gives our students some unique opportunities. Some of these opportunities include: Wau-ke-na Nature Preserve, Lake Michigan, Outdoor Discovery Center, local libraries, and local farm markets just to name a few resources we have access to and utilize.
The Giving Tree for the month of December will benefit Ladders of Hope Food Pantry in Fennville. We are collecting canned goods to donate to the pantry. Donations are accepted every school day 7:00 am -5:30 pm during the month of December. Community service is part of our vision and strategic plan at Glenn School. We will continue to donate to local nonprofits throughout the school year.
We will be holding a Community Conversation around school and student safety on Wednesday, December 6th at 5:30 in the multi purpose room. We are looking for input to help guide where we spend grant money around student mental and behavioral health, school and building safety along with technology safety.
I hope to many of you at our Holiday Concert on Thursday, December 7th at 6:00 pm across the street at Glenn Church. Family, friends, neighbors and community members are invited to hear the songs the students have been practicing for weeks with Ms. Kerr.
Happy Holidays!
Ms. Walle
Superintendent/Principal
