Mahalo nui loa to all our participants from our Action 15 Community Resilience Hub Workshop series and for all your support and interest in our efforts to support resilience planning on O'ahu! We have now completed 2 of our 8 region-focused workshops (Ko'olauloa and Ko'olaupoko) and we are gearing up for three more workshops this month - see the invites below to join in.

We are seeing such passion, energy, expertise and leadership in our neighborhoods and communities. It has been a tremendous gift for our CERENE Team of student leaders to facilitate and support these discussions. We are resilient strong together and grateful to be on this ride of life with you. No matter what comes our way, if we stick together, we will make it through. People with a plan survive, and with a dedication to the āina and each other we can thrive, in spite of the challenges we face ahead.

Attend your local planning discussion and learn more about community resilience hubs.

Hawaii Emergency Management Agency will be leading a KCC CERENE online webinar, on "Sheltering in Place." It will focus on what residents can do to assist themselves in preparing for any impending storm or disastrous situation. Guest Speaker Francis Kau along with author, Dennis Hwang will share from a personal and property protection perspective. Sheltering in place allows the homeowner to start preparing for post-disaster recovery, while at the same time, becoming a valuable resource if called upon to assist the community.
