We hope you all had a wonderful time with your children during the Spring Break! Welcome back to school.

You are invited to the campus for a spring event scheduled for Thursday, April 28, 2022, from 5:00-6:00 pm. We will have outstanding art pieces on display, the excellent E.O. Green Theater Club - Annie Jr. cast and crew, and the After School Music Club performance. More details are coming soon. It will take place in the cafeterias, rooms 43 and 44.
April 29, 2022, is a Minimum day - Dismissal 1:00 pm. It is a teacher planning & collaborating day - professional development- Please add it to your calendar. Please make transportation arrangements accordingly to pick up your student promptly. All students must be picked up on time and be safe.
The Student Support List, also known as the Restriction List, is ready.
You will receive notification if your child is on the restriction list due to one or more of the following criteria:
Low-Grade-Point Average, GPA below 2.0
Poor Attendance/Tardiness to Classes - Students must be on time for ALL sixth periods/classes - Talk to your student about walking to class on time after meal breaks.
Poor Behavior
IMPORTANT: Attention, 8th-grade students and parents that wish to participate in the promotion celebration on June 16, 2022, must avoid the criteria listed above A, B, and C to prevent them from the reaction list. All students have the capacity to participate in the promotion celebration; effort and dedication go a long way to reach this goal. Please talk to your student. ALL students can view their grades/GPA, attendance, and behavior under Student/Parent Connect on our E.O. GREEN Website. You don't have to wait to receive a notification. It is available to you on Student/Parent Connect. Please ask your student to help you log into it.
This week, the 8th-grade students and parents on the restriction list will receive a notification. If you have any questions regarding the Student Support List, please don't hesitate to reach out to the assistant principal assigned to your grade level. Thanks!
The School Site Council meeting is on Thursday, April 22, 2022, from 2:30 –3:30 pm. Thank you to the parent cabinet and staff that continue to participate in these meetings. Your support is much appreciated. Please call our front office to obtain the ZOOM link to access the virtual meeting if you wish to participate.
All students will participate in the Panorama Screener SEL, social-emotional learning, during the week of April 25-29, 2022. The Panorama Survey has 2-portions, Tuesday, April 26- Student Supports and Environment and finally, Wednesday, April 27 -Student Competencies.
Please be aware that the state assessment CAASPP will be administered during the testing window of May 16 - June 10, 2022. Therefore, please encourage your student to continue to be the best student they can be to continue learning and thriving during last trimester 3.

COVID Testing Sites!
Please read the attached letter from HESD for more information.
There are two testing locations:
Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays: Blackstock Junior High School, 701 E. Bard Road
Tuesdays and Thursdays: Haycox Elementary School, 5400 Perkins Road
Testing hours are10:00-4:00 at each location. Both testing sites are walk-up only, no appointments necessary.
To register your GREEN student for COVID testing please click here. This link is ONLY for GREEN students. Students only need to register once before the first time they take a COVID test at a district site.
COVID Symptom Reminder and Return to School Requirements
As a reminder, at no time is it acceptable to send students to school when they are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, and especially if they have received a positive test result (laboratory based OR at-home test). Please make sure to report all positive cases to your students’ school.
Students are to stay HOME if:
-If your student does not feel well, keep them home.
-If your student has any COVID-like symptoms, keep them home.
-If your student is unvaccinated and was a close contact to someone who was COVID positive, they must quarantine at home even if they do not have any symptoms.
Home tests or antigen tests are now accepted
-Thank you for keeping our school community safe.
