BELONG ~ BELIEVE ~ ACHIEVE
Hello, Wildcat Families and Students!
The season of reflection and gratitude is upon us with the start of many holidays and celebrations that wrap up the 2023 calendar year. My hope is that this time is spent with loved ones filled with traditions being taught, stories being told, and memories being made. May your food be fabulous and the love be abundant!
I am thankful for all of our Wildcat Families who have really made the difference with the overwhelming support we constantly receive.
I am thankful for our AMAZING PTO and Mrs. Janikowski who help spread the love and appreciation to our teachers and students. These are some of the hardest working parents I know and their commitment and dedication to Sullivan is second to none! I will be forever grateful!
I am thankful for Bonsall Education Foundation and their generosity and dedication not just to Sullivan but Bonsall Unified. They have sponsored many of our classroom and grade level projects which have allowed us to do so many fun activities and bring the curriculum alive for our students!
Lastly, I want to thank our Sullivan Staff, certificated and classified, who help, support, high five, listen, and work with all of our amazing Wildcats! Our staff has the biggest heart and cares about each student at Sullivan. They are truly a CHAMPION FOR OUR STUDENTS!

BONSALL FORWARD SCHOLARSHIP NIGHT
Congratulations to our Bonsall Forward Scholarship Winners! This amazing opportunity is provided as part of the Bonsall Forward Initiative, which is designed to increase access to STEM careers and expands future readiness for all BUSD students. Through the combination of early exposure through job shadow opportunities and incentives such as scholarships as early as 6th grade, Bonsall Unified is aiming to not simply reward students who complete high school and are prepared for college and career, but to significantly increase the number of students who fall into this category.
NOVEMBER R.O.A.R. AWARDS
CONGRATULATIONS WILDCATS!
We honored our October ROAR Award students, who are chosen by their grade-level teachers. I am so proud of each of these students for being outstanding leaders in our Sullivan community! Great job Wildcats!
Why and What is the ROAR Award?
We feel fortunate to have so many of our Wildcats doing an amazing job representing what it means to be a Sullivan Wildcat. We wanted to honor and recognize as many students as possible. Therefore, we created the R.O.A.R. Award. Grade-level teachers collaborate and pick four students from each grade who exemplify what it means to be a WILDCAT!
The R.O.A.R. Award is given to students who show exemplary Responsibility, Organization, a positive "can do" Attitude, and Resilience!
Students who receive the R.O.A.R. Award are:
1. Recognized by staff
2. “Front of the lunch line pass” for the month
3. "Free to leave 3 min early at the end of the day pass" for the month.
4. VIP Parent Parking Pass for parents to pick up in the top section of the parking lot for the month.
Students selected will also receive a printed R.O.A.R. Certificate and a “Golden Paw” keychain.
We look forward to continuing the recognition of our Outstanding Sullivan Students on campus and hope that they are celebrated at home as well

BUSD Families,
The California Department of Education passed legislation this past July that all school districts must remind parents and legal guardians of all students in the Bonsall Unified School District of their responsibilities for keeping firearms out of the hands of children as required by California law. SECURED CAMPUS AND ENTRANCE INFORMATION
ATTENTION PARENTS!
We are excited to announce that we extended our safety and security for all staff and students by installing a fence around the front of our school! Visitors will be required to bring ID and check in at the Welcome Booth before anyone is permitted on campus.
Only emergency vehicles, buses, those with handicap placards, and those with other special placards have access to the upper lot, emergency lane closest to the front of our schools. You will need to show your placard to Campus Security.
This decision to enforce our existing parking lot plan aligns with the recommendations of our community safety partners and will increase our ability to maintain a safe and secure site:
- When dropping students off, please use the lower levels of the parking lot.
- When visiting either the middle or the high school office, please park in the lower levels, bring your ID to the Welcome booth, and check in with the appropriate staff.
We appreciate your partnership and support in our efforts to provide the highest levels of safety for our students
