September 29, 2022
Hello Mill Valley Families,
Mill Valley's vision is "A caring community that ensures high levels of growth for everyone, every day."
Mill Valley is a top-notch school for so many reasons, such as building partnerships with families, highly engaged students, exemplary staff and strong academic success.
We are very excited and proud to share some highlights from our 21-22 Wisconsin Forward Exam results!
- 50% of students in 3rd & 4th grade were advanced. Overall, 92.5% of students in 3rd & 4th grade were proficient/advanced in mathematics. (Statewide average 39.3%)
- 76.5% of students in 3rd & 4th grade were proficient/advanced in ELA (English Language Arts). (Statewide average was 37%)
We are so proud of our students and staff!
Don't forget, there is NO SCHOOL for students on Monday, October 3rd. Our teachers will be engaging in professional development.
Sincerely,
Robin Schrot, Principal

Did you know...
Did you know that 9% of our Mill Valley students already meet the criteria for being chronically absent (missing 10% of a school year). The #1 reason for absences this September was illness (35%) and the #2 reason was vacations (30%). Please be mindful when planning vacations this school year as nothing can replace missed instruction.
