Message from Mr. Imbusch
Dear students and parents/guardians:
We had a very positive opening of school this week, and it was wonderful to see all the students and staff return to the building rested and ready for another school year. Our incoming freshmen had the school to themselves on Tuesday for their Orientation, and we thoroughly enjoyed meeting the Class of 2027! All students had an assembly today, and they all appear to be ready for the new school year.
There is no school tomorrow, Friday, September 1st.
Tuesday, September 5th will be a Day 2. The regular daily schedule will be the same as last year.
As was the case last year, any student scheduled into a study hall first block of the day has the option to arrive to school by the beginning of block B. Only seniors in good academic standing have the option to leave early if they have a study hall during the last block of the day.
Please keep a lookout for the many clubs and activities that will have their kickoff meetings over the next few weeks. We encourage every student to get involved in extra-curricular activities, and our clubs provide many opportunities to meet new people and try new things.
Our annual 'Back to School Night' will take place on September 21st at 6:30 p.m. for all our parents/guardians. Please see the 'updated' flyer attached, and note that the freshmen parent portion of the evening will no longer be happening at 6pm. Instead, throughout the evening we will hold 8 Freshman Seminars, which you should attend when your student is scheduled for study hall. Rather than reporting to the Study Hall classroom you will report to the Cafeteria for Freshman Seminar.
We are very much looking forward to a very successful school year for all our students. Have a wonderful Labor Day weekend!
Sincerely,
Stephen Imbusch
Principal
