September 2019
I am very excited about having our new College and Career Counselor Breahna Crawford on staff. She has been working hard getting accustomed to her new position. Mrs. Crawford will be taking the lead in assisting our students in preparing for a post secondary career or continuing education opportunities after graduation. She will also be assisting us in continuing the great work we started last year with our Advisory Program. The Advisory Program is assisting our students in conducting career exploration and goal setting for each child's future. On October 9th our Juniors and Seniors will have a great opportunity to participate in a career fair in partnership with the El Dorado Chamber of Commerce and numerous businesses in the Butler County area. This will be an awesome event. Our students will have the ability to research and meet with various business representatives in the area in order to gain valuable information on future career opportunities. We are very excited to expand our Advisory Program opportunities in the surrounding communities.
On September 20th CHS will have our Homecoming festivities. All District schools will be dismissed at 1 pm. in order to be able to view and participate in the parade. The parade will begin at 3:30 pm. and proceed from the high school down main street. Following the parade Homecoming activities will begin with the royalty crowning at 6:30 pm. and the football game at 7 pm. The Homecoming dance is after the game from 9:30-11:00 pm.
I would like to invite any parent or community remember to call or stop by for a visit if you have any questions or concerns. I am more than happy to sit down and discuss issues with you. Our faculty continues to amaze me each day by their tireless efforts to provide a wonderful school environment for your child to enjoy. Circle High is a special place filled with special people.
