Summer Edition
Hello!
For now, I wanted to give you some upcoming important dates, as well as a reminder of our current residency audit. I also want to invite you to call or email with questions or concerns, or just to introduce yourselves--I look forward to getting to know this community's families so I can better serve you, so please feel free to reach out.

Important Dates to Remember
Monday, August 8: First day of baseball practice
Thursday, August 11: Back-to-School Fair, 5:00-7:00 p.m., school cafeteria, sponsored by Community BettermentThursday, August 18: Open House, 5:30-7:00 p.m., come meet your teachers and the new administrators!
Monday, August 22: First day of school, classes begin at 8:00 a.m. and end at 3:15 p.m.; first day of Jr. High basketball practice
Back-to-School Fair and Open House
Open House will be on Thursday, August 18, and this will be an opportunity for students to meet their teachers, bring their supplies, and parents can turn in paperwork, including proof-of-residency required by the district for the residency audit.
We hope to see you at both events, and we look forward to kicking off the 2022-23 school year with you!

Residency Audit
The Miller County R-III School District is conducting a residency audit as per Section 167.020 (2), RSMo. In order to register a pupil in the district, the parent or legal guardian of the pupil shall provide proof of residency in the district. The term “residency” shall mean that a person both physically resides within a school district and is domiciled within that district. For the purposes of residency verification, the following documents will be accepted:
- Rental Contract
- Real Estate Contract signed by all parties
- Utilities Bill/Deposit Receipt
- Payroll Check, Driver’s License, or other employment documents.
Documentation must be received prior to the first day of school for the student to attend. Non-resident students must have tuition paid or a signed payment plan on file in the superintendent's office prior to the first day of school.
