March
The Perfect Storm
This time of year, most of you are peeking around the corner in excitement for the hot months of SUMMER, but I think everyone should give the month of March a little more credit. Mardi Gras, St. Patrick's day, and March Madness make March a perfect storm!
Five Reasons Why MKP loves March
5. Daylight Savings! Yes we lose an hour of sleep, but we gain an extra hour out that night! The freezing cold winter is coming to an end and warm, warm, warm is coming our way. Time to come out of hibernation and hit the gym for those spring break bodies!
4. The Almighty Shamrock Shake. As kids, we’d backseat drive our parents to every area McDonald’s, looking for one that carried this elusive treat, so for me this shake is jam packed with sugar and memories!
3. Spring Training. Baseball is back baby. The season officially begins again in April, but all my boyfriends are prepping as we speak!
2. March Madness. As many of you know basketball is life in my family, so this is pretty much heaven. Get your brackets ready, were doing a Garvy Bracket Challenge so you better hope your team is in shape, selection Sunday is coming March 17th!
1. St. Patricks Day. I saved the best for last. Shamrocks, live music, corned beef, green beads, green beer, green everything! St. Patrick's Day is by far one of my favorite holidays!

PAT ON THE BACK
A great big PAT ON THE BACK to Sylwia & Jeannie!!
Sylwia was grading papers in the delivery room! She had her husband drop off materials on their way to the hospital! She goes above and beyond for her students even on the delivery table! Thank you Sylwia!
Jeannie is an excellent teacher who does not receive adequate recognition for her contributions to Garvy. She is on multiple committees and takes her roles above and beyond. Jeanie is always making learning fun and is respectful towards all students and adults in the building. Thank you!
***Please send me an e-mail if you would like to give any Garvy staff member recognition for anything you feel you would like the staff to know.
What Up Wit My Garvy Peeps
Katarzyna Gadzinski - Her milkshake brings ALL the boys to the yard!!! Did you know Kasia has been proposed to by 3, yes, you heard that right, THREE DIFFERENT MEN! That's a lot of diamonds! Luckily she waited for Mr. Right. ( I can't even find one!)
Bev Mendoza - Love at first sight does exist ant it launched a sustained relationship when Beverly married her high school sweetheart!
Katie Tomal - Just call her a "labelwhore," in the world of scrapbooking that is! Katie loves photography and is a very avid scrapbooker!
Linda Anthony -
Jeannie Gillespie - Jeannie won a prestigious competition for creativity in illustration and got to illustrate a published children's book.
Jackie Collins- The biggest trick up her sleeve? Sunscreen, of course. Jackie has had sunsafe habits since she was a child modeling for Coppertone.

ULTA Beauty Bronze Glow Self-Tanning Tinted Mist
I love me a custom spray tan, but $40.00 is a bit pricey to keep up that habit! So, I have done all the leg work and found you the best self tanner on the market. After I tried it out for the first time, I went back to Ulta and bought the remaining supply at the store! There are two shades: Light-Medium and Medium-Deep. I use the darker shade. Did I mention it only cost $10?! It's practically FREE! I feel this is pretty fool proof. I get a natural light brown even tan from face to feet. No streaks. No orange. No ruined sheets.
Process: Scrub the sh*t out of yourself in the shower. Exfoliating is the key to from an even tan. Do not apply any creams or oils before your tan! This will cause streaks. Just spray all over your body. It dries super quick. No need to rub it in. If product is pooling, you are spraying too much. Just use light quick sprays while moving body parts around to get an even application. By following these steps, your tan will look GOLDEN!
