Congratulations to JV Blue Winterguard as they earned 2nd place at the North Texas Colorguard Association Summit HS Contest on Saturday (1/27)!
Mid-Winter Band Concerts: February 5-6

All Students will be required to watch two bands after their performance or two bands prior to their call time (depending on their scheduled performance). Directors will clarify report times with students in classes.
SERVICE HOURS OPPORTUNITY!
We will need help on stage at the Midwinter band concerts on Monday, February 5th and Tuesday, February 6th. If you are interested in helping, please CLICK HERE to sign up. You can also earn service hours for helping at the concert.
Please volunteer on the day you are not performing. Please meet the directors on the PAC stage at the beginning of the concert (6pm each day) and wear your Allen Escadrille shirt and jeans if you would like to help. You will be moving chairs and stands between band performances. Please send Mr. Hicks the appropriate link for Service Hours verification after the concert (neil.hicks@allenisd.org).
Branson Spring Trip Update
Students going to Branson will receive an email by this Wed, Jan. 31st. The email will contain information on a working itinerary, trip roster, room & bus sign-up forms, and information regarding our Pre-Trip Rehearsal/Meeting on Feb 27th.
2024-2025 Colorguard Auditions Continue This Week
This year auditions for the Allen Color Guard will be VIRTUAL! This means that everything will be self-paced (over 2.5 weeks), and auditions will be submitted through the canvas course. Encourage your non-band friends to audition and join the fun in the 24-25 colorguard. Please see the COLORGUARD WEBPAGE for more details. Auditions are due on Thursday, Feb 1st.

2024-25 Allen Band Booster Board
The 2024 Nomination Committee is currently seeking applicants that are interested in serving on the Allan Band Booster booster Association executive board for the 2024-25 school year. Please take a moment to look over the application, and fill it out if you are interested in serving on next year's board in any capacity. February ABBA Membership Meeting
Join us Tuesday. February 13, for our next ABBA Membership Meeting at 7:00 pm in the band hall. Enter through door 26. Come hear updates on the boosters, and the band and colorguard programs.
2024 Leadership & Required Marching Band Events
The band staff is already preparing for the 2024 marching season. See image below for the required Spring and Summer required events.
If you are interested in trying out for drum major or SLT, we will begin our training/workshops after Spring Break. They will be held (mostly) on Wednesdays from 4:30pm-6pm in the AHS Band Hall. The first 45 minutes will be general leadership/SLT training and the second 45 minutes will be specific training for drum majors. AHS & LFC Wind Ensembles will be required to attend the first 45 minutes of the SLT workshops as part of their Musicianship Class.
