- I am a mother to five amazing kids.
- I love to bake, boat and support my kids in all their activities.
- I love food, all kinds, but my favorite is steak and potatoes.
Favorite Place
I love the mountains. This is our favorite place to visit in the summer (at the lake) and during the winter (playing in the snow).
Pets
We have 1 dog named Daphne and 1 turtle named Mike.
Family
My family is the most important thing to me!
I grew up in Idaho, but moved to Utah after high school. I earned my Bachelors of Science and my teaching certificate from Southern Utah University . I love teaching and am so excited to start my16th year of teaching. I taught at Tonaquint Intermediate for 8 years, then at another virtual school for 5 years, and now 3 years at Davis Connect.
TYPES OF CLASSES
Online Classroom (OC)
- OC is an interactive online course where students have the opportunity to meet with their teacher and classmates regularly.
- Students will attend weekly live class sessions and work independently through the Canvas coursework.
- OC courses work within regular term deadlines.
How do I access my LIVE class?
- Go to your "Calendar" tab in Canvas.
- Make sure your math class is marked on the right-hand side once in your calendar.
- You will see a couple different events from our class daily (LIVE CLASS sessions and/or STUDENT SUPPORT sessions).
- Please remember that Student Support Sessions are optional and are great times for you to come in and get some one-on-one help on your math.
Independent Study (IS)
- IS is for students who want to work independently with no live sessions and submit assignments in Canvas at their own pace.
- IS courses work within regular term deadlines, while having access to an online teacher to ask questions about content.
A La Carte (ALC)
- ALC is an independent study online course, where students work independently with no live sessions, but the student can email the teacher with questions.
- These courses are term courses, where students can earn .25 credits per course.
- If a student is looking to get a full year of credit (1.0) for a course, the student should sign up for all 4 terms (T1, T2, T3 and T4) of a yearlong course, or for both terms (T1 and T2) of a semester course (.5 credit).
Credit Recovery (CR)
- CR is an independent study online course, where students work independently with no live sessions, but the student can email the teacher with questions.
- Credit Recovery courses are designed to review and assess a student’s mastery of a skills in the subject.
- The length of the course is based on how much knowledge the student can demonstrate on the subject.
- Students who successfully complete the Credit Recovery course will receive a Passing “P” grade and .25 (1 term) graduation credit on their transcript per course.
NOTE: There are no Honors Credit Recovery courses and Credit Recovery courses do not replace grades for the original course on the transcript.
