Principal Simpson's Message
Greetings PRM Families,
Spring is here! I sincerely hope you enjoyed a fun-filled spring break with family and friends. We are excited about our possibilities as we enter the final stretch of the 2021-22 school year. Your partnership is of tremendous value to us, and we appreciate all that you do to support the success of our school.
I want to express my sincere gratitude for the thoughtful acts of kindness shown during my unexpected medical leave from February 7th-April 1st. I returned on Monday to lots of smiling faces and warm declarations of love and support. I also want to thank the amazing Tina Stegman for her fantastic work during my absence!
We are in the midst of our state testing cycle. All students in grades 3-6 are taking the Ohio State Test in English Language Arts and Mathematics. 5th grade students will take an assessment in Science as well. The testing period will run through May 6, 2022. Please be aware of the testing dates shared by your child's teacher so that you can support them. We also ask that you try to avoid scheduling appointments or absences during the testing period.
We are encouraging students to do their best and show what they know.
Spring also brings warmer weather and anxious students. We have many activities planned to celebrate our wonderful community as we bring this year to a strong finish. We appreciate your support and look forward to coming together to share our success.
Love,
Principal Simpson

Student Placement for 2022-2023 School Year
Greetings PRM Families,
As we prepare for the 2022-23 school year, we are preparing to begin our placement process for students currently in kindergarten, third, and fifth grades, who will be transitioning to the next level. Our placement process is intended to be equitable to maintain an academic, economic, gender, and racial balance in each classroom. Teams will be meeting to complete this process in the coming weeks.
We respect that as parents, you know your child’s needs better than anyone. While we will not be accepting any parent requests for specific teachers or classrooms, you may submit information about your child’s needs to me (Principal Simpson), by completing and submitting this form by 11:59pm on April 22, 2022.
Emails received after the April 22nd deadline will not be able to be considered.
We look forward to hearing from you as we positively pursue and secure our plans for the upcoming school year. Thank you in advance for your support and trust as we seek “to offer every neighborhood child a quality Montessori education” (excerpt from PRM’s Mission).
