Remake Learning Days 2024

About Remake Learning Days (RLD)
Remake Learning Days is a joyful celebration of hands-on learning events across Pennsylvania.RLD launched in May 2016 in Pittsburgh, PA as the largest open-house for families featuring hands-on learning. In 2024, RLD will take place in northwestern PA, throughout the entire commonwealth of PA, across America, and internationally in Christchurch, NZ, Doncaster, UK, and Uruguay!
Want to Host an Event?
Consider hosting a family-engaging learning event (virtual OR face-to-face) related to one or more of these themes: arts, maker, outdoor learning, science, tech, and youth voice. Events can be for any age group – from age pre-K through high school. The goal is to create an event calendar of 100+ events with schools and community partners across Northwest PA where parents and caregivers can learn alongside their kids, find new interests and passions and make new community connections. Event Host awards ($250/$500) will be available to offset the costs of hosting an event.
With the festival being held in May, many organizations use these events as opportunities to showcase work from the school year, highlight opportunities for youth during the summer or year, or engage parents and families alongside their children.

Youth Ambassador Program 2024
In partnership with Saturday Light Brigade, the Remake Learning Days Youth Ambassador Program is an opportunity for high school teenagers to help increase awareness, enthusiasm, and attendance during Remake Learning Days (RLD). In 2024, we are excited to expand this program across all Remake Learning Day regions in Pennsylvania!
Youth Ambassadors will cover two Remake Learning Days events taking place in their region. “Coverage” of an event includes the creation of an event promo, attendance of the event, and an event review. Ambassadors are eligible for a honorarium of up to $250.
RLD Youth Ambassadors will receive expert guidance from SLB Radio in the form of virtual training and check-in sessions, as well as a digital toolkit with self-help resources. Successful Youth Ambassadors will think creatively and act independently as they create their promos and reviews. Key to this success is communication: students should be ready and able to stay in touch via email in order to communicate their needs and provide feedback.
No prior experience is necessary! All students in grades 9 – 12 are welcome to apply. Simply fill out the form below. Applications close on February 9, and selected Youth Ambassadors will be notified in late February.
