SHS EAST Wins Award
EAST at Searcy High School received a Difference Maker Pin from Tim Stephenson, founder of EAST. Mr. Stephenson only had 2 of these to give out to anyone at EAST Conference, which was attended by nearly 3,500 students. Difference Makers are ordinary people accomplishing extraordinary things by creating positive change for their community. This recognition is an outward sign of how the recipients embody the ideals of EAST.
Egg Drop Challenge at McRae
Kindergarteners at McRae participated in the annual Egg Drop Challenge. They created rockets that were "launched" by the Searcy Fire Department. This is such a fun tradition that our students and families enjoy. Thank you to the Searcy Fire Department for partnering with McRae Elementary!
