New logo, same great event!
Mark your calendars for Friday, November 11, when all GLOBE students will walk, run, and trot their way through GLOBE’s biggest fundraiser of the year.
GLOBE Trot is our school’s annual fun run. Students are asked to invite their friends, family, and neighbors to sponsor them in the event, and our goal is to get 100% participation. (When we meet that goal, the whole student body will get to close out the event with Kona Ice.)
GLOBE Trot is always a high-energy, high-joy day, and it’s sure to give you and your students one more reason to love the GLOBE community. Stay tuned for more details about fundraising, volunteer opportunities, and more.
Picture Days
Upper Campus Picture Day will be held on September 12 - read flyer. Lower Campus Picture Day will be held on September 19 - read flyer.
International Festival
This year's International Festival will take place on Sunday, October 2, from 12pm to 4pm.
For information or to volunteer, send an email to Rina at rinaguerrerokesler@gmail.com.
Lower Campus
Curriculum Night
We loved seeing so many of you at Curriculum Night last night. Teachers will include links to the presentation materials in this Friday’s communication to families.
Afternoon dismissal
Since there isn’t a crosswalk that takes students across Heritage Drive to Briarwillow Drive, we ask that families do not attempt to park on Briarwillow Drive. Also, please do not park in either carpool tag line.
Upper Campus
Curriculum Night
The Upper Campus Curriculum Night will be held tomorrow, Thursday, September 1, from 6pm - 8pm, where you can learn more about the curriculum for your grade level.
Upper Campus Science Fair
This year we are excited to open up the Science Fair to the entire Upper Campus! All students (4th to 8th grade) will have the opportunity to explore, inquire, wonder and present their work to our parent and student body. The middle school students who achieve the most success in our school fair will participate in the DeKalb County Science and Engineering Fair. Our school Science Fair will take place at the beginning of December. Look for information coming over the next few weeks to get your students started on this journey of exploration and innovation!
Morning Car Pool
When you leave the Upper Campus in the morning, you MUST turn right. If you decide to attempt a quick U-turn in Mary Scott Nature Park to go left, you end up blocking traffic for all of our neighbors, our teachers, and other parents. Please do not attempt a quick U-turn in the park.
GLOBE Athletics
The Volleyball C Team had their first win of the season last week against The Galloway School! Congratulations to the players.
