Hello Families,

Thank you for your partnership as we meet with families for parent conferences. We love the collaboration and welcome your questions and feedback. Our hope is that together we can created the best possible school experience for all of our students!

• Reminders for Early Release Days:

  • Students are dismissed at 11:45am
  • Car dismissals should adhere to the following times
  1. Last names A-G- 11:40-11:45am
  2. Last names H-N- 11:45-11:50am
  3. Last names O-Z- 11:50-11:55am
• Please communicate any changes to your child's dismissal plans to their respective teacher, Mrs. O'Neill (oneilld@chelmsford.k12.ma.us) and Mrs. Sepe (sepek@chelmsford.k12.ma.us). Be sure to also discuss with your child.
• Lunch is available for take home ONLY through online ordering
• Students will either have specials or recess (rotates every half day).
• Snack time may be adjusted and/or not occur depending on your child(ren)'s schedule.
• Extended Day will be open until 3:00pm for students signed up on WEDNESDAY. Please provide your child a lunch.
• Please anticipate possible delays with buses as they navigate an early release schedule

Holiday Season Approaching: The Holiday season is fast approaching. If your family is in need of support, do not hesitate to reach out to a support team member (Mrs. Gilbert, Mr. Ramalho, Nurse Vandevoordt, Dr. Brogan, Mr. Liechty, or Ms. Katie).

Weather: The fall is upon us, and although the weather has been mild it is important that your child dresses for the season.

School Pictures: Please be on the lookout for school photographs in the mail next week from Geskus if you ordered a package. If you did not order yet, please watch for an email as you will be given another opportunity to purchase along with a proof of the picture. If you are not satisfied with your package, you student has the opportunity to be re-photographed on Tuesday, November 29th in the morning at South Row from 9:00am-10:30am. PLEASE BE SURE TO SEND BACK YOUR ORIGINAL PHOTOGRAPHS IF YOU ARE ASKING FOR A RETAKE. If your child missed our picture day in October, they will be sent down to be photographed on this day as well. If you have any questions, contact Geskus at 1-800-948-1120.

Dear South Row Families,

Fall viruses are here and in full effect. Please view the chart below that you might find helpful. If your student is sick with fever, cough, sore throat, or nasal congestion, I recommend a home covid test and calling their pediatrician to check in.

Returning to school after illness:

If a student has a fever (temperature of 100.0 or higher), they must be fever-free for 24 hours before they can return to school.

If a student has unexplained vomiting or diarrhea (not due to chronic disease), they must be symptom-free for 24 hours before returning to school.

Thank you to everyone that attended out November PTO meeting last week. A big thank you to the 2nd Grade team for speaking about Fundations and our school committee rep Donna for a great update about what is going on at the district level.

As of right now we are not going to have a December meeting. However we are looking into planning a Winter activity week and may host an informal planning meeting for that. Please watch for more information to come soon.

Last week, former South Row students Emily Stagnone and Daniel Craig participated in a letter of intent signing at Chelmsford High School. Emily will be attending Bentley University and will be playing field hockey and Daniel will be attending Sienna College playing lacrosse. We are proud of these two former South Row students continuing their athletic journey and wish them the best in college and beyond!

Emily is the daughter of Anne Stagnone, Grade 3 Teacher and Daniel is Anne Craig's (K-1 Reading Teacher) son! We are so happy for our former South Row students and their families!
