Students will be learn about various pathways for learning beyond high school. Students will learn important college vocabulary.
Extending the Learning at Home: Ask your student to explore a few more college vocabulary terms. Have students complete this college terms word search and ask them to explain each term that they find.
8th Grade
Students will be able to identify their skills and the relation these have to future careers.
Extending the Learning at Home: Explore some additional colleges and careers in Xello. Ask your student to log in to Xello and walk through the different options, paying special attention to whether these are a good fit for the student.

Local Postsecondary Training Option
Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology offers a short term training certificate and associates degree in welding. Lancaster CTC also offers a popular full time program for high school graduates.
