Arrival and Dismissal

LEE Arrival: Students are allowed on campus at 8:10AM, and enter their classrooms at 8:20AM. Students who arrive after 8:20AM, will need to enter through the front doors.We will have staff members supervising the front and rear doors of the school, the bus stop, and the Hug and Go Lane areas starting at 8:10AM.

Parking: There is limited parking at the school. If you need to park and enter the building with your child, please make sure you are parked legally on a neighborhood street. Be friendly to our neighbors by not blocking driveways please! For the safety of our students, the staff parking lot should never be used for student drop off or pickup. Please note that the parking lot will be blocked off in the morning from 8:00am-8:20am and in the afternoon from 3:00pm-3:15pm.

Hug and Go Lane: Please make sure that you are helping us keep traffic moving in the Hug and Go Lane. Remember the lane closest to the school is for drop off only. No parking is allowed in this lane before school in order to provide student safety while being dropped off. After school you may park on either side of the hug and go lane.


This year we will be using a crosswalk at the halfway point of the hug and go lane. If your child needs to cross, he/she should use the crosswalk. Please do not allow your child to cross anywhere else.


Handicapped Parking: The first spot in the parking lot is designated for handicapped parking. This spot will be accessible at all times. We will continue to have the rest of the staff parking lot closed for student safety purposes.

LEE Dismissal: Students will be dismissed at 3:00 PM. They will exit the building from their designated area. If you want to meet your child, please arrive early, find a legal place to park, and walk around the building to their area. Students may also walk themselves to the front of the building and meet you in the Hug & Go lane. You are welcome to stay in your car and wait for your child.

IPADS

Exciting news! New iPads have arrived at our school and we will start the process of refreshing iPads for 3rd- 5th grade students this week. Then, beginning September 7th, we will begin refreshing iPads for students in Kindergarten-2nd grade.


Please ensure that all students bring their iPads to school everyday.

iPad Insurance

The iPad Damage Optional Insurance program is designed to help offset the costs of a lost or damaged iPad to families.


The LTP Student iPad Insurance window for the 2021-2022 school year opens August 1st and closes on September 10th. Parents who wish to join the insurance pool for this year will need to make at least a partial payment within this window.

Please take time to read the 2021-2022 Student and Family Handbook in order to thoroughly familiarize yourselves with our school and district policies. This handbook also serves as a reference throughout the school year as pertinent information.

The handbook is considered a contract between the family and the school. Please read it carefully. In the coming weeks, we will be sending home an acknowledgement form for you to sign.

No Dogs Allowed

We all love our dogs, but unfortunately, not all dogs love everyone else. Dogs are very protective of their owners and may become more aggressive around strangers and young children.

For the safety of our children, and for your own liability protection, we do not allow dogs on school property or in the school (with the exception of service dogs) during school hours or during school events. A dog that is friendly to you may frighten a young child or may become excited or aggressive in the presence of several children. We realize this may be inconvenient to some people but this is in the best interest of student safety. Should you walk your dog on school property outside of these hours, please remember to pick up after your pet.

Playground Closure

Please note that the playground and blacktop area is closed from 3:00 until 6:00 PM. Our state licensed after-school care program has reserved the use of these areas during this time. As part of licensing rules, the playground can only be utilized by students registered in the Eagle's Nest program during their normal operating hours. We ask that all students immediately leave the playground and blacktop after the release of school unless they are participating in the after-school program.

As a reminder, students with adult supervision are welcome to use the small playground in the front of the building starting at 3:15PM. Pratt Park is also a great option for families wanting a fun place to play after school.
