A Note from Dr. Hooks
Dear Hyde-Addison ES Families,
As part of the Hardy MS feeder pattern, schools have been asked to share the attached letter from the Deputy Mayor for Education, Paul Kihn. The letter explains the impact of Mayor Bowser’s Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) Fiscal Year 2024-2029 budget submission on the opening of Foxhall ES.
Marymount University is holding its annual STEM event on April 22, 2023, from 10:00 am to 11:30 am in Rowley Hall. This event is for all students from PK-9th grades. Parents, teachers, administrators, and especially students are invited to a day of fun activities which include but are not limited to Arts and Crafts activities, making and setting off rockets, petting a snake or turtles, making mother's day presents, maker space activities and much more. Please see the attachment below.
Enrollment season is quickly approaching. This is a great time to start gathering all of your needed documents for a seamless enrollment process. Please be mindful that reenrolling in early April will significantly support maintaining small classroom sizes. More information is shared below.
On Saturday, March 25, the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Education's (DME) Office of Out of School Time Grants and Youth Outcomes (OST Office) will gather government agencies, nonprofit organizations, families, and other stakeholders for Summer in the City. This event will help District families identify the various programming opportunities, learning experiences, jobs, and more available for youth during the summer months. Come see the vast number of opportunities available for school-aged youth to participate in during the summer months. Register here to attend.
