The BHS Library is very grateful to Barrington Education Foundation for the generous donation to the Library! This donation provided support for a new chromebook charging station; interactive, touch screen; mobile whiteboards; and a new learning center!

Thank you to Senator Jack Reed for supporting School Libraries and to Barrington Middle School Librarian Melanie Roy for advocating for information literacy learning for all students!

In December, (School Library of Rhode Island) SLRI members had the opportunity to meet with Senator Jack Reed to express their appreciation for his work on the Right to Read Act. Barrington Middle School Librarian Melanie Roy, and other Librarians Joan Mouradjian, Ellen Basso and Lisa Girard, Cranston Public Library Director Ed Garcia, offered their thanks for the legislation that will target disparities in access to school library resources. Reed is a co-sponsor of the legislation. Read more about the legislation here.
