Christina Wang Shines Bright with Perfect Score on AP Chemistry Exam!
Of the impressive 141,000 students who tackled this demanding college-level examination from across the globe, Christina joins a select group of 23 students, accounting for a mere 0.02% of all participants, earning a flawless score.
This outstanding feat was met with excitement from her chemistry teacher, Garrett Lim, who celebrated his first-ever student achieving such a remarkable result on the AP Chemistry Exam.
Congratulations, Christina, on this incredible accomplishment!

HOMECOMING Weekend recap!
On September 22 & 23, Walnut High School ASB held a Homecoming Assembly, Halftime Show, and Dance for our student body. Over 1,000 students attended the dance, and it was a fantastic night for our students. There was a DJ, desserts, drinks, games, photo booths, and much more! Thank you, ASB, for organizing an amazing dance for our student body tonight.

IMPORTANT 2023-2024 AP EXAM DATES & REMINDERS
We're hosting a crucial AP meeting to map out our upcoming AP school year. We've got some important dates and key info to share with you, parents, to ensure you're well-prepared!
- Make sure you are in your teacher's AP Classroom.
- AP student presentations during TUTORIAL in the PAC:
- 9th and 11th grade AP presentation during tutorial in the PAC on September 26th
- 10th and 12th grades AP presentation during tutorial in the PAC on September 28th
October 2023
- AP Exam Payment and Registration: October 30th-November 3rd.
- Make sure to have a valid 2023-2024 Walnut High School student ID.
- Students will be invited by last name (alpha order)
- You may use one check to pay for all your exams.
November 2023
- AP EXAM PAYMENT DEADLINE WITH NO PENALTY FEE IS FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 10th.
- Pay at Ms. Dibell's Office (B-Building) or Mr. Chen's Office (E-Building)
- Any exam ordered after 11/10 will accrue a $40 late fee + $100.

Once the Parking Application is completed stickers will be issued by Mrs. Markel at the Assistant Principal's office. If you had a parking decal last year, you MUST complete the form again this year and replace your old sticker. You must display the sticker on your car before parking in our lot. You have until the end of the week to pick up your sticker. WVUSD is NOT responsible for any damage or theft of the vehicle, this includes any articles left in it.

SCHOOL LUNCH POLICY
Due to many problems and safety issues we DO NOT allow student lunches to be delivered anywhere on campus.
Food, drinks or other items are NOT to be passed to students through the fence. This is strictly prohibited.
Outside Food Delivery Services such as UBER Eats/Door Dash is strictly prohibited. Food will be confiscated if deliveries are dropped off.
We understand the importance of student nutrition but we encourage students to either use the free lunch at school or bring their lunch from home.

STUDENT CLASSROOM EXPECTATIONS
2023-2024 Rules & Expectations at Walnut High School
Parents: One thing you will notice this year are tardy or cell phone detention automated emails. If your child was issued a detention for excessive tardies or a cell phone violation, you will get an email with information on the detention they need to serve.
ATTENDANCE COUNTS!
Please remember that attendance counts, every period, every day. Students will be marked absent if they are not at the beginning of each period to verify their attendance.
All single-period absences will need to be reconciled through the attendance office by the student. If marked absent, students will receive an email from the attendance office notifying them that they have been marked absent. The notification will include the date and period of the absence. The student will need to contact the Attendance Department to make any necessary corrections to their individual period attendance. For full-day absences, a parent/guardian must contact the attendance office by the end of the day.
