Notes from East Hill Elementary
September 29, 2023
Message from East Hill Principal
Dear East Hill Elementary School Families,
We had another great week at East Hill! Our Jogathon today was a huge success and I would like to thank our PTA, students, staff, and families for supporting our big fundraiser! We are still in need of a few room parents and volunteers for parties at EH. Please reach out to your classroom teacher if you are willing to join the fun!
Coming up next week we have First Responders Day on Wednesday as well as Picture Day on Thursday!
East Hill also looks forward to participating in Paige's Pajamarama, which will be a district-wide event next week. There will be collection jars in the main office for any Wildcats who would like to participate and wish to donate to this great cause in helping kids fight cancer on Friday, October 6! Please be sure to review the flyer below!
Have a great weekend,
~Susan

From the EH PTA
The East Hill PTA is still looking for classroom volunteers! You must be a PTA member in order to volunteer for classroom parties and other PTA events.
Here is a link to join: https://easthillpta.memberhub.com/store?limit=21&live=true
- Because our events, including classroom parties, are sponsored by the East Hill PTA, it's important that our volunteers are PTA members for liability reasons. We were thrilled to see so many people on Curriculum Night sign up to help in the classrooms. If this was you, please join the PTA as soon as possible. We will be sending volunteer lists to our room reps soon and if you aren't a member you will be removed from the list.
- If you were unable to attend Curriculum Night this year, but would still like to be on the classroom volunteer list, please 1. sign up to join the PTA at the link above and 2. Send your name and your child's teacher to the PTA email: wgehpta@westgenesee.org
- If you signed up on Curriculum Night and you've joined the PTA, you are all set! No need to reach out.
- Last, but definitely not least, membership does not commit you to volunteering at any events or attending meetings. Just your membership helps us decide what events to plan, grants that we apply for (like Makerspace last year!), and other advocacy opportunities for our East Hill students. You can join without emailing the PTA if volunteering isn't something you can add to your plate. It's truly the easiest way to support the programs that have a direct benefit to your child!
Thank you for being a part of our East Hill community! It's going to be a great year, filled with wonderful memories!
