We have an exciting opportunity for our 7th and 8th grade students! We are excited to announce that Lincoln Elementary School District 156, in partnership with Family 2 Family Federation for Children's Mental Health and Knights of Prevention and Education Cyber Lions is sponsoring a Leo Club to help students build healthy relationships with their peers and adults while having fun organizing and leading schoolwide activities. Membership in the District 156 KOPE Leo Club is voluntary and open to students in 7th and 8th grade. Interested students must complete an application for membership along with the attached permission slip allowing them to attend regular meetings at District 156 on Wednesdays from 12-2 p.m.

We will be hosting a Family Health Fair on September 28th from 6 to 8 p.m. We will have several community partners in attendance that will provide vaccines and physicals as well as informative breakout sessions. We are excited to provide this opportunity to Lincoln families and we would love to see you there! Details will be forthcoming!

Hispanic Heritage Month is a time to highlight the rich history and cultures of the people of Mexico, Central America, and South America. This year's theme is Unidos: Inclusivity for a Stronger Nation. Here are some informative links:

In our ongoing efforts to keep students safe, Lincoln Elementary will begin new drop off and pick up procedures. These measures are designed to help with the congestion of cars in places where students are walking.

Arrival - Please pull all the way up to the Main Entrance Area before letting your child out of your vehicle. There are staff members posted to ensure that your child arrives to their designated door safely. Do not let your child out in the middle of 157th Street, it is unsafe for your child to cross through cars using the drop off lane. Also, please be mindful of students on 156th Place. The school zone speed limit is 20 MPH.

Dismissal - Please maintain a 20 MPH speed around the building. Also, please watch for students that are still learning traffic safety. The staff parking lot is NOT a designated pick up area, please do not use this space to pick up your child.
