Roosevelt's Class of the Week
Room 122 - Ms. Leslie's Class
Technology is Motivating My Students
Ms. Leslie's students are engaged in various educational activities - often asking, "Can I do this please?"
Ms. Leslie's first graders are using the iPads for engaging in word study, learning and practicing math facts, as well as many other engaging activities.
The Kids Don't' See It As Work!
They are learning, not just playing. The game helps motivate them to want to learn more.
Everyone loves reading with Raz-Kids!
Listening to and reading stories on Raz- Kids is a favorite of Ms. Leslie's 1st graders! Whenever Ms. Leslie introduces a new resource, she makes sure that her students understand the purpose of it, not just clicking on an icon for busy work.
Students are taking ownership of the technology!
Groups of students are working together as computer "helpers" - students who log off the laptops, plug them in to charge, powering off the iPads, and making sure they are plugged in to charge. This is teaching students responsibility so that their equipment is ready for the next day.
