Testing Season, Here We Come!

Hello Families! The time is upon us...we are heading into our Standardized Testing weeks. Deep breaths everyone, we will make it through this together!

GMAS Testing

A Few Reminders:

  • Testing begins PROMPTLY at 9:00AM each day. If student are not in the classroom by that time, they will have to take the test on a makeup day and will have to stay in a common location with another teacher until testing is over.
  • Have your child eat a healthy breakfast at home or at school.
  • Encourage students to try their best, not stress, and use a strategy!
  • Remind students that the lights will be on in our classroom during testing. We usually keep the classroom lit with lamps and low playing calm music. This is not allowed during testing, so it may be a change for a few. We will practice this on Friday before testing!

Our "GMAS Promise"

On Friday, students will be brining home a "GMAS Promise" in their daily folder. This promise is a nightly reminder to relax and prepare for the next day's testing. Students will receive a stamp for each day that they bring back the form signed. If they bring back the form each day, they will be able to participate in the GMAS Party at the end of testing!
