Shout-Outs

  • Shout-out to our Freshmen of the Week from last week! Kayden Townsend comes to us from Chapman Middle School. Here at Lee, she is a part of the cast of our upcoming spring musical, The Wiz, and her role is a shapeshifter. She also wants to play volleyball next year. In her free time, she enjoys drawing, reading, listening to music, and making music. She wants to learn woodworking and welding in the future. After graduating from Lee, she wants to become a deejay. Her favorite teacher here at Lee is Mr. Carter because he brings an electric and explosive energy wherever he goes and makes everyone smile and he also got her into theatre, which she never thought she would enjoy. Ladray Battle also comes to us from Chapman Middle School. Here at Lee, he is a part of the football team where he plays slot receiver. In his free time, he enjoys playing 2K, eating macaroni, and running. After graduating from Lee, he wants to attend Drake State Technical & Community College and become a welder. His favorite teacher here at Lee is Ms. Thompson because she is nice and helpful. Congratulations to both of them for living out our #FamiLEE values so well!
  • Shout-out to Mr. Rominske and all of our Honors Chemistry students for their hard work in the lab last week!
  • Shout-out to all the colleges & universities who came out to our HBCU College Fair last Wednesday and to our band director Mr. Pearson for organizing this amazing opportunity for our students!!!
  • Congratulations to Jonathan Hullett, Aliya Khanthavong, and Steven Rodriguez on being offered band scholarships to Alabama A&M University!
