Designing engaging activity that activates all of a student's senses can be challenging, but very rewarding as well. Discovery's Surround Sound SOS shares a teaching strategy that uses audio resources, like one of DE's thousands of SOUND EFFECTS, encouraging students to focus only the sound playing in the room to analyze, visualize, and interpret what they hear and then reflect and share with others. This strategy is a great way to introduce a new topic, encourage imagination, and spark engaging conversation!(DiscoveryEd)

Hot off the Presses... DE's VOICE SEARCH

In the days where Siri and Alexa can help you with most anything you need just by asking, Discovery has just added the SEARCH BY VOICE feature to their site so you can search Discovery's amazing library with the sound of your voice!! This is a handy feature when using Discovery on mobile devices, but can also be a powerful tool for our youngest students as well as for students with mobility limitations that make using a keyboard challenging. (Currently only available in Chrome)
