October 1, 2019 - Special Meeting, Values Workshop

The Wenatchee School Board will now provide a "Board Meeting Summary Briefing" after each Board meeting. The summary includes a short description of the main topics and action items. These summaries are not meant to replace minutes. The minutes for each meeting are approved and posted after the next regularly scheduled meeting. We hope these summaries provide some basic information and context around the reports, presentations and action items.

Board Values Follow-up

Accountability and excellence were the two shared values the board identified during their last workshop. Dr. Gordon explained the purpose of the workshop is to discuss and affirm our collective values as a board and to identify the descriptors of an ideal school. Once determined, the values and characteristics will be woven into a SWOT survey which will be created by staff and is a foundational component of the strategic planning process.
