¡Nuestra primera reunión de la Organización de Padres y Maestros (PTO) es este martes 3 de septiembre! Tendremos una reunión a las 8:00 AM en la cafetería y 6:00 PM en la biblioteca. Invitamos a todas nuestras familias de Town Center a asistir. Nuestras reuniones de PTO son un momento para que usted aprenda sobre los próximos eventos y actividades escolares, escuche a nuestros educadores sobre las experiencias en el aula y aprenda sobre las maneras de involucrarse en el campus. También discutiremos nuestro papel como Campus de Título 1, incluida nuestra Política de participación de padres y familia y el Pacto escolar. No es necesario que traiga nada, y nuestras reuniones suelen durar como máximo 45 minutos. ¡Esperamos veros a todos allí!

Our TCE Book Fair is almost here! Our library is currently being transformed into an "Arctic Adventure" thanks to our fantastic PTO volunteers. This is all in preparation for our Book Fair that runs Monday, September 9th - Friday, September 15th.

To help our Book Fair be most successful, we need your help. Please consider volunteering a small portion of your time to help out in the Book Fair using the link below.

New for the 2019-20 school year, CISD is using a new application and background check process for all volunteers in the district using the same software used for employee background checks. In order to upgrade the security of your personal information, you will be required to fill out a volunteer application (setting up a new secure user name and password) and background form. This user name and password will be used again each year you complete the form. Volunteers are a valuable part of our educational team, and we appreciate all you do!

Please follow these steps to complete your Volunteer Background Check:

1. Visitcoppellisd.com/volunteer
2. Click on “Volunteer Application and Background Check Forms”
3. Then, follow the “New User? Click here to register” prompts.Note, everyone is a new user in this system and MUST set up a new account. Previous Coppell ISD logins and passwords will not work with this new system. Once you set up an account, you can use this user name and password each year for your Volunteer Background Check.
4. Click on “Add New Application” under “Online Applications.”
5. Under “What type of position are you applying for?,” Click on “Volunteer.”
6. Click on each tab on the left side of the page and submit the information requested. You must click on each tab to complete the process. Please note you can select multiple campuses for which you would like to volunteer.
7. Click “Submit” to submit your application.
8. Be sure to complete the application/background check a week in advance before you volunteer.

Please plan on joining us Friday, September 13th for a fun-filled day at Town Center! We have designated times throughout the day for "Special Friends" (family & family friends) to visit our learners' classrooms in order to see some of the great things they are learning and doing. Our campus book fair will also be open during this time. Please see below for grade level specific visiting times.

This year Box Tops for Education has created an even easier way to earn money for our school- a new phone app! Simply download the app, find our school to complete the profile and start scanning in receipts from your favorite grocery store. No need to clip anymore!

If you have been collecting Box Tops over the summer, no need to worry! We are sending home a sheet with each child for them to attach any Box Tops you may already have. We are able to earn money through the app and through actual Box Tops that are turned in.

If your child is absent, please remember to email the front office or send in a note with your child upon their return. The email and/or note will need to contain your child's name, date(s) of absence, and reason for the absence. Our attendance clerk is Sherri Kingsley skingsley@coppellisd.com. We will keep these for our records. Per the district attendance update, vacations are no longer excused.

Our district automated system will send out attendance alerts for any three consecutive days missed. Please know that the district automated system is not timed perfectly with when our campus system receives updates for notes/emails sent in. Please disregard the message if you have already turned in a note/email or plan to do so upon return.
