SDSL’s New Course on Supporting Entrepreneurs
The South Dakota State Library is excited to announce the new course, “Entrepreneurship in Libraries: Strategies and Resources for Librarians.” From October 30 to November 12, program participants will explore the ways libraries can support entrepreneurs and small business owners. The course is set to take place on the South Dakota DOE’s new learning platform, Canvas.
This two-week online course will have both synchronous and asynchronous activities and assignments, including panels with experts in entrepreneurship and the opportunity to create a plan to support entrepreneurs in your library. All coursework will focus on how you can support entrepreneurs and small business owners in your libraries and in your communities. This course has specific resources and information for school, public, and academic libraries.
In a rapidly evolving world, libraries play a pivotal role in supporting economic growth and innovation. This course gives libraries the fundamental skills and resources they need to effectively serve the entrepreneurs and small business owners in their communities. Interested participants can find the course and sign up on Canvas.
For questions regarding the course, contact Cheyenne Chontos or Scottie Bruch.
