GOOD NEWS FOR IMPORTANT AND FUN EVENTS
We will hold a Virtual Open House on Tuesday, September 28th. You will receive a full schedule of the classroom presentations next week.
Open House gives you the opportunity to visit your child’s classroom, meet teachers, and receive important information about the instructional program.
The schedule will allow parents to visit multiple teachers in one night. Each link will bring you to the teacher's Google meeting at the time posted. Parents can visit ALP or Special Education at 5:30 and still attend the homeroom open house time. There are also times to meet with your child(ren)’s special teachers such as Art, Music, PE, and Media. Every staff member will provide a time to visit.
In addition, I am happy to announce that we will plan a United Nations Day Parade this year. This is the signature event for our school and we are looking forward to making it happen again. Stay tuned for information on how to participate.
Lastly, we will hold a very brief Halloween Parade at the end of the school day on October 29th. Information will be forthcoming. Please begin to think about easy costumes that children can put on themselves. Parents will not be able to come into the building and help them get dressed as they have in the past.
Exciting events are coming!
Sincerely,
Trish McGuire

FLEX AFTER SCHOOL CARE -EAGLES NEST
We heard from the administrators of the FLEX after school care program and they are working feverishly with the state to complete all of the requirements needed to run a program here at Julian Curtiss. It is difficult communication and completing requirements at the state level and they are still not fully licensed. Please know that they are working on it and as soon as they get the rubber stamp of approval they will send out information regarding the program.
Sincerely,
Trish McGuire
