The Fuller Family Weekly
August 28th - September 1st
Principal's Message
Hello Fuller Families!
We hope everyone had a fantastic weekend! We have some important updates to share with you, so please read carefully!
September 4th is a staff and student holiday to observe Labor Day. Therefore, this upcoming weekend will be a long, 3 day weekend. Enjoy time with your family!
We are thrilled to invite you to our Curriculum Night, scheduled for tomorrow night. This event is a wonderful opportunity for you to gain insights into your child's classroom experience and learn about the curriculum they will be engaging with this year. To accommodate everyone's schedules, we have split the sessions into two time slots:
Session 1: 5:30 PM - 6:00 PM
Session 2: 6:00 PM - 6:30 PM
Don't miss out on the exciting PTO Touch a Truck event taking place tomorrow night as well! From 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM, your children will have the chance to explore and interact with a variety of vehicles. It's an excellent opportunity for some hands-on learning and fun for the whole family.
As we prioritize the safety of all our students during dismissal, please remember to follow the designated traffic flow and instructions provided by our staff. Your cooperation ensures a smooth and secure dismissal process for everyone.
Our upcoming Book Fair is just around the corner, and we would greatly appreciate your help! If you're interested in volunteering your time, please sign up using the link in the newsletter below. Your support contributes to the success of this event and benefits our students' reading experiences.
We know how much you're looking forward to having lunch with your child at school. Please give us one more week as we finalize our lunch routines and procedures to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone. Stay tuned for more information!
Exciting news for our 1st through 5th-grade students! Starting this Friday, we will be offering ice cream in the cafeteria. Please make sure your child has available funds on their account if they wish to enjoy this sweet treat.
That's all for me this week! Have a great week and remember, we are Fuller, we are family!

Dismissal Issue
When the cars park in the red marked areas, vehicles exiting the car line cannot exit safely without coming out in the street. So to prevent any accidents, I will be placing 6 cones in the area. I have suggested to parents who parked there, to pull up to the school zone sign and park there.
I have included a map of the location with "NO PARKING IN RED AREAS" on the map.
Important Information
- Anyone entering the building MUST be prepared to show ID BEFORE entering
- IDs or car tags will be checked at dismissal for car and walk ups.
- Please label all jackets, lunch boxes, and water bottles.
- Transportation changes must be sent to FESTransportation@aubreyisd.net by 2PM daily.
- No visitors for lunch until after Labor Day.
- Instruction begins at 7:40 (students MUST be in seats by then)
- School day ends at 3:15
If you have any questions, email Mr. Smith at n.smith@aubreyisd.net

Attendance
Good attendance is important for many reasons. Your child receives the maximum benefit of education by being in school every day, and numerous studies show a strong link between academic performance and consistent attendance.
A compulsory attendance notification will be sent to the parent if a student has unexcused absences on 10 or more days or parts of days within a six-month period or three days or parts of days during a four-week period. Notice it says “parts of days.” This means that leaving school early, or arriving excessively late in the day, even if the child attended for some of the day, may count as an absence.
In the state of Texas, Pre-K is not required, however, once you enroll your student in school, all attendance laws apply.
