Here's what's going on in Cafe au Play this month:


Healthy Boundaries: A Free Lecture for Parents on October 23rd at 11:15am

An informational class for parents on the importance of setting healthy boundaries, and how to do so in a loving way led by Michelle Yorn, a Waldorf early childhood educator. To RSVP, contact Michelle at michelle.yorn@portlandwaldorf.org.


Volunteer Team Meeting on October 26th at 7:00pm

Come and get to know Cafe au Play volunteers and community members as we strategize how we can continue giving back, strengthen our current programs, and plan new events!

New menu!

Cafe au Play debuted our new menu this month, and we are excited to reveal it to the public! We have new sandwiches, smoothies, and homemade baked goods in addition to our delicious seasonal drink specials! Come in to check out what's new!

Meet Olive and Dingo!

Cafe au Play loves hosting performers and activities for kids throughout the week. Olive and Dingo are kind enough to volunteer their time at Cafe au Play every Thursday at 10:30am for a story hour that's fun for the whole family! Looking to help?

Are you looking for a way to help Cafe au Play? There are tons of things you can do to get involved!


Volunteer Opportunities:

  • Volunteers to serve on our board
  • People interested in occasionally teaching a community class in our space
  • People interested in volunteering to help us garden and care for our outdoor space
  • Come to a team meeting on Monday nights from 7-8pm and help us brainstorm ideas to make Cafe au Play even better!


Supplies:

  • Chalkboard markers
  • Cleaning supplies
  • Gently used toys in good condition
