While it’s valuable to use your words to express your appreciation, there are plenty of ways to show your someone you care without ever saying a word. As the old cliche goes, actions speak louder than words. With this in mind, here are a few ways to show love without saying anything.

Be an active listener. Support them.

Hug, firm Handshake, Dap Don't sweat the small stuff.

Celebrate what makes them unique. Leave them a note or treat.

Put the phone down and make time for them. Show appreciation.

On Friday, Dec. 6 Mrs. Wynn, our music teacher led our Hawthorne Choir and the 4 Kindergarten classes in a festive holiday program. The kindergartners, dressed in their pj's, along with the Hawthorne 3rd and 4th gr. choirs, performed holiday songs to a standing-room-only crowd!

Warren's High Ability Program is designed to meet the unique academic needs of gifted and talented students. The curriculum in these classes is differentiated and faster paced and students will be working above grade level if they qualify. As a district, we look at all students in grades 1, 4, 6 and 8 to see if they qualify for the following school year based on eligibility criteria. Parent recommendations are considered along with achievement scores when determining placement in high ability. More detailed identification information can be found here.
