First Graders Make Snowmen Houses
First Grade Students learned about Snowflakes and how they form when water vapor travels through the air and then condenses on a particle. A slowly growing ice crystal turns into a beautiful snowflake! Each snowflake is unique however they are all symmetrical and have six-fold radial symmetry. The first grade unit of study has included writing creative snow stories, reading snow stories, making snowflakes, glister galore snowmen and creating snowmen houses.
Thank you to our construction crew (the wonderful parents) who helped make the culminating activity possible.

Updates from Archery
We wish Turner, Lily, Katie, Grayson, William and Grace the best as they compete in the Conway Season Kick-off Tournament tomorrow. Grayson will also be competing in the 3D Tournament.
Congratulations to our archers who competed last weekend at the 1st Annual Shoot for the Moon Invitational in Willard.
We had two medalists (top 3):
Alton Trombold - 3rd, Elementary Boys, 229. State qualifying is 260, and
Turner Crockett - 2nd, Middle School Boys, 275
Turner's 275 qualifies him for State!! That is Tier 2 compared to his 270 last year which was Tier 3. A 280 would be Tier 1. The Tiers determine the order of registration at State, March 20-23.
Katie Palmer and Ruby Brothers shot 241 and 238, placing 4th and 5th for Middle School Girls, compared to their best from last year of 245 and 244.
All our other kids did great too, especially for their very first tournament:
Grayson Steiro, Grace Yen, Lily Johnson, Olyvia Beach, Katelyn Matz, Arjun Jarayao and Bennett Kester!
We will practice next week from 7:20-8:00 AM each morning. No practice Friday. All archers may come to any or all of these days. Fun, games and prizes each day!
Monday - Battle of the Balloons
Tuesday - Knockout
Wednesday - 4-Spot Shot
Thursday - Katniss E. and William T.
