Weekly Announcements & Updates
*Students in the 11th grade will be taking the ACT Plus Writing THIS Tuesday, April 11. All 9th, 10th, and 12th graders will engage in e-learning on this day. This e-learning day will only impact high schools. All other grade levels will proceed with normal operations and not be affected by this schedule adjustment.
*Tryouts for the 2023 LHS Volleyball Team will be THIS WEEK, Monday April 10-Wednesday, April 12 from 4pm-6pm each day in the gym. A current physical is required to tryout and there is a $10 non-refundable tryout fee. For more information, contact head coach Destinee Lewis at destinee.lewis@hsv-k12.org.
*Senior Night for Lee Boys and Girls Soccer teams in on Thursday, 4/13 after the girls game. Come support our five seniors: Davin Taylor, Oniesh Tomlinson, Jesus Hernadenz, Aveen Martz and Rita Clark. The girls play at 5:30 and the boys play at 7:30.
*Seniors, your $100 mandatory graduation fee is due. This fee covers your cap, gown, stole, diploma, diploma cover and tassel. You get to keep all items. You can pay online at myschoolfees.com or see Mrs. Fields or Ms. Swopes to pay in person. Cash, check or money order is accepted. NO payments via paypal or cashapp. All other school fees must be paid before May. If you need to know what you owe, see Ms. Swopes. Allowable honor society cords for graduation can be ordered with Mrs. Fields in the library. They are $10 each.
*Attention Seniors! Academic & Arts Signing Day is coming up on May 1st. Seniors who have received any scholarship that can be applied to the college of their choice are invited to participate. See Mrs. Fields for more information. Senior Awards Day is Sunday, May 7 @ 3 pm. Mark your calendar now for this mandatory event. Dress Code - for Awards Day & Graduation - white dress or dark slacks with white dress shirt, no sneakers, or flip flops.
*Yearbooks are on sale now! The current price is $40 for standard and a $45 for engraved. You can pay online at MySchoolFees or in person to Ms. King during zero period ONLY in room 124.
*CHECK STUDENT FEES ONLINE! LHS student fees can be viewed and paid online anytime by visiting https://secure3.myschoolfees.com select AL-HUNTSVILLE CITY-LEE HIGH, and register as a New User. You will need your student’s PowerSchool ID Number. You may also pay by cash or check at the school. Remember to check fees periodically for any changes that may occur. Shout-Outs
- Shout-out to our Freshmen of the Week from last week! Miyzaya Hodo comes to us from Chapman Middle School and moved here from Memphis, TN last year. She loves animals and wants to be in piano class next year. In her free time, she enjoys helping her mom with her business and listening to music. After graduating from high school, she wants to go to college to become a veterinarian. Her favorite teacher here at Lee is Mr. Mitchell because he is understanding and helps out a lot. Jasmin Berryhill also comes to us from Chapman Middle School. She took theatre class this year and is a part of the USITT (US Institute for Theatre Technology) club here at Lee. In her free time, she enjoys reading fantasy books and drawing. After graduating from Lee, she wants to become an electrician. Her favorite teachers here at Lee are Mr. Comer and Mr. Carter because they are theatre people. Shout-out to both of them for living out our #FamiLEE values so well!

- The Dance Magnet Spring Show "Power" will take place in the Theatre on April 27 & 28, 2023 at 7:00pm both nights! Tickets are $5.00!
