We are excited to partner with our Eccles PTA and celebrate our annual Teacher Appreciation Week, May, 2nd-6th. We are blown away by the immediate outpouring of support with the sign-ups below after yesterday's email went out!❤️ We have the best community!

Below is an itinerary of events during the week, along with suggestions of how you can contribute to the fun of showering our teachers with the appreciation they deserve. Let's show them what SUPERHEROS we think they are!

MONDAY, 5/2: Superheros Need to Eat!

Consider donating a food item or treat through signup.com.

- By doing so, families can help our PTA 'stocking the staff room' with snacks, treats, coffee pods, etc. that can be enjoyed throughout the week.

TUESDAY, 5/3: Super Charge Their Day

Our PTA is hosting a 'build your own' yogurt parfait for our teachers to start their day.

- Help them feel the energy by telling students to give a high-five to every teacher they see during the day!

WEDNESDAY, 5/4: P is for Power... or Pizza

Our local Odd Moe's has donated individual pizzas for each certified teacher!

- Students will get a chance to write what they think their teacher's super power is on a tag and stick it to their door.

THURSDAY, 5/5: Donut You Know How Much We Love You

Staff and students will be delivering donuts & coffee to our teachers.

- This is a great day for students and families to bring in 'sweet' letters and notes of appreciation for their teachers.

FRIDAY, 5/6: Superhero Friday

Students and staff can dress up as their favorite superhero!

- Gifts or treats... what more could a superhero want at the end of their week? If you have a gift for your teacher, this is a great day to bring it in.

*The above ideas are themes based on the planned events we have for the week. Please feel free to show your teacher appreciation in other ways, big or small. We can't wait for the fun to begin.

The deadline for students to bring in Jog-a-Thon donations (online & packets) has been extended to Tuesday, May 3rd! All donation packets need to be turned into teacher or the office by end of day.

We are so close to our $14,000 goal—$11,840 brought in so far!!!

Check out the Pedgestar donation website to see where your student's class is on the leader board; and don't hesitate to share it out online for friends and family to donate.

We have many field trips coming up! Check the important dates listed above, and please remember to send back your student's field trip permission slips so that they have the opportunity to attend these fun trips with their class!

6th Grade Visit to Baker Prairie Middle School - Thursday 4/28

• In order for students to attend, permission slips MUST be turned in by Thursday morning.

Outdoor School Reminder (6th grade)

• By now, all forms should have been returned. **Medications MUST be delivered to the office by this Friday, 4/29.**

Interested in volunteering for the Field Trips?

• Check in with your student's teacher or contact the office to verify your volunteer status and find out what to do next.
• If you have never applied to volunteer, please visit the CSD website directly and Apply to Volunteer.

The Dental Foundation of Oregon’s mobile dental van, the Tooth Taxi, is coming. They will be parked at Eccles Elementary on May 9th-13th treating children.

• The Tooth Taxi is staffed by dental professionals and offers a range of dental services including exams, cleanings, sealants, fillings and simple extractions for FREE.

• Treatment priority will be given to those who have no dental insurance, are experiencing pain, have never been seen by a dentist, have OHP but are not being seen regularly by a dentist and those who may not be able to afford their copay.

• The health and safety of patients and staff is always their highest priority. Our Mobile Program is following the most recent infection control recommendations made by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and The Oregon Health Authority (OHA). We’re closely following the activities of these agencies to stay current with any new protocols and best practice guidance that may be issued.

**Registration in advance is needed even though services are free, and a patient consent and health history form must be completed for your child to receive services. Parent/Guardian interest forms are coming home with your students this week. Please fill out the form sent home (picture below) OR complete the online form via button below, and return no later than 4/20/22.

If you have a student who will be five years old by Sept. 1, 2022 - it's time to get them registered!

Families are encouraged to enroll their students ahead of time as registration is open online now, and enrollment helps us identify classes and resources needed heading into the next school year.
