The Appleton Echo
Autumn Term 1, Week 6
A Word from Mr Broom
We're now six weeks in to a very busy half term and again, the children have had a great week of learning. While the weather has been a little warmer, the teaching team have taken every opportunity to take learning outside. Miss Brough took this a step further with a walk through the countryside to Bolton Percy.
Next week, our teaching team will be meeting with myself to appraise the previous academic year. With excellent results across the board, there's lots to celebrate. We're also meeting to discuss our Learning Journeys for the remainder of the term, up to Christmas.
Finally, our school calendar has been fully updated with festive and other events up to Christmas. I've listed them below but they're also on the public calendar (see website).

You can really help us by completing the Ofsted Parent View online survey. It's a short series of questions that should take you no longer than 10 minutes. Of course, when we do get the call, you'll get another opportunity to share your views.

A polite reminder that we have children in school who have severe nut allergies. Please ensure that you do not bring nuts on to the school site or include them in packed lunches.
Thank you for your support with this.
Staff Shout Outs
I've had a few messages from parents/carers asking about how they can send a staff shoutout for a staff team. It's great that you think about them and really does help to raise morale.
