Attendance on Hybrid--Google Meet Days
Please note the following:
1. When Google Meet classes are being held by a teacher student attendance is required.
2. In order to be considered in attendance students must have cameras on.
3. We ask that in order to protect the privacy of other students in the course, only the student who is enrolled in the class can be present, visible, and within auditory range during live streaming classes or counseling sessions.4. Students should not be working during these class times as they are required to be in school. This WILL NOT be accepted as a valid excuse for an absence.
5. If you are scheduled to be at EHHS on a specific day (Hybrid A or B) you must be in school unless you are sick. If you attend via Google Meets, you will still be marked as absent from school.

News from the LMC
Mrs. Banack (math teacher) and Mrs. Tietjen (library media specialist) ran EHHS’s first simultaneous, all-digital, hybrid-style BreakoutEDU with Mrs. Banack’s AP calculus class. Similar in concept to a breakout room, BreakoutEDU gives students puzzles and problems to solve; the correct answers provide the combinations necessary to unlock locks and open the box to reveal the reward. Students both in school and at home collaborated using various digital tools, including Jamboard and Google Classroom.
Voting for the Nutmeg Book Award will happen in April, so there’s still time to read one or more of this year’s ten nominees in the high school category. Information on the 2020 nominees can be found here: https://www.nutmegaward.org/high-school-9-12. We have copies of all the books in the school library!
