Food for Halloween Party
Dear Families,
We are looking forward to the classroom Halloween Party Celebration on Friday, October 27th and want this to be a safe, fun event for ALL students!
As many of you know, the incidence of food allergies in children has increased immensely over the past few years and there may be students in your child’s classroom with life-threatening allergies to certain foods. Because of the significance of this, we will be implementing some safety measures for the food served at parties and celebrations:
- ALL foods served must be commercially prepared to ensure proper food preparation and food handling procedures are followed and that ingredients and labels can be checked to reduce the chance of exposure.
- There are a number of students at each school site with nut allergies, we are asking that NO foods containing nuts be brought to classroom celebrations.
- Your child’s teacher may have also requested that certain foods not be brought in based on other specific needs within the classroom, please honor this request.
Again, PLEASE DO NOT bring any homemade food items to the party, as no matter how cute or how good your item looks we will not be able to serve it!
If you have any questions about whether a food is appropriate or have any other concerns regarding the food at the party, please contact either one of us. Thank you in advance for partnering with us to make this a safe, enjoyable experience for ALL children.

Ashland School District Calendar and Schedule Research Survey
To be completed by High School Students, Staff, Parents/Caregivers, Community Members
The purpose of this survey is to gather feedback and views from the Ashland School District (ASD) community on our current calendar and schedule. The Ashland School Board's Calendar and Schedule Research committee will utilize the feedback to inform the Board as to whether or not the current ASD calendars and schedules are working for students, staff, families, and the Ashland community - keeping in mind our diverse family population and their individual needs. The Board welcomes the opportunity for out-of-the-box thinking. As such, this survey is the first step in eliciting community feedback for this extensive, collaborative, on-going, and comprehensive process. To learn more about this process and the committees, visit https://www.ashland.k12.or.us/o/school-board/page/innovation-committee. Please complete only one survey per person. Thanks for your time!

Weekend Food Program for Walker Students
We are all still dealing with the impacts of the Covid 19 Pandemic and Alameda Fire. While we are all in the same storm, we are not in the same boat. Many of our families are struggling due to the loss of jobs, income, and stable housing. Walker has been working hard to support our families with a weekend food program. Our current funding sources are running low, and we could use your help!
Please visit: https://donate.ashland.k12.or.us/wolfpacksupport/ to donate today.
100% of donations will go directly to purchasing food and supplies for our families in need.
If you are a family in need, please reach out directly to your child's teacher, or Tiffany.
