Important Information:
I would like to make you aware of something horrifying that parents may not know about. There is a figure on YouTube called Jeffy. He is a puppet that children seem to be attracted to watching as we have heard student conversations about these Jeffy videos. Due to the fact that it appears as a puppet show seems to be why it drives children to want to watch the program. Online safety experts found these videos portraying sexual content, nudity, violence, gore, profanity, racial slurs, and inappropriate themes. This is a friendly reminder to be sure to check what your child is watching on their devices. As you walk by you may see puppets but what is displayed is very disturbing. If possible, block content related to this character.
School News:
Let's take on our next challenge: The Vista December School Wide Attendance Challenge! Be sure to have your child come to school, on-time daily! If we earn a 90% attendance rate for December, we will have music at recess. Earning a 95% or better, students receive a goodie that is voted on by the student body AND music at recess!! Weekly attendance trophies are still being announced and distributed to classrooms.
Be sure to save the date. Our Annual Winter Sing is scheduled for Wednesday, December 20th at 6:30pm (more information to follow). Also, our library is open to parents and students each Wednesday from 1:00-1:30pm. Students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Have a fantastic weekend!
