Principal's Message
April 2022
Lemoore Elementary Families,
I hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful weather. As we move into the final half of the school year, I would like to thank everyone for their support in making this school year successful. I would like to encourage students to continue to read over the spring break.
We want to thank our Lemoore Elementary community for their support of our Spring Book Fair. We had over $8,000 in sales. This means we are able to purchase books for our library and set aside new books to give out to during our trimester rallies. We continue to focus on reading every day for at least 20 minutes a day. Students have been taking the STAR reading test once a month all year to measure their reading progress. They will take the test again during the week of April 18th upon our return from spring break. Please ask your child about their reading level.
April is also the “Month of the Military Child” where we honor our students whose families are in the military. We have around 30 students whose parents serve in our country’s armed forces. To grow up as a military child is a great sacrifice. We want to thank our Lemoore Elementary Lions whose parents or guardians serve our country. So on April 15th, we celebrate Purple Up Day 2021. It is a DoDEA Worldwide Event where we will all wear purple in honor of our military families.
Thank you,
Ms. Garcia
