Lunch prices changing

The cost for school lunch is changing. At high school, the cost of lunch will now be $2.85,

Parents are encouraged to use MyBucks to load money to their child's lunch account.

Many families and students are eligible for reduced or free lunch. Forms will be available from your child's advisor at Open House and during the first few weeks of school.

Parking Permits go on sale July 15th

Regular Sale Permits: starting July 15th | $65.00

Qualifications to Purchase a Parking Permit during theRegular time periods:

No ISS or OSS
Not on Obligations List
Passing or passed at least 75% of classes

*Students with more than 6 absences and/or tardies (for second semester, 18-19) will be able to purchase a parking permit with a signed attendance contract. The attendance contracts will be made available to those students who must have this in order to purchase a parking permit.

*Students who do not meet the ISS/OSS, Obligations List, and Academic expectations will be able to purchase parking permits beginning the second nine weeks. All of the above qualifications must continue to be met in order to apply at the second nine weeks and purchase a parking permit for $65.00.

Student schedules

Students' schedules are accessible on PowerSchool. PowerSchool access is disabled for students (parents) who owe a fine or fee or who are on the Obligations List. These students (parents) must either take care of the fine/fee/obligation prior to PS access being reinstated or come to the West office to sign-off that they acknowledge the fine/fee/obligation.

Student schedules should be accurate for a large majority of our students. If a student has an error or a class missing in his/her schedule, he/she will submit a schedule change request electronically. The schedule change request link will be published on the RHHS website soon.

Summer reading and summer assignments

All students attending RHHS for the 2018-2019 school year will have some sort of summer reading assignment. To illustrate our commitment to success and to maintain reading levels, ALL students, regular, honors, and advanced placement, are required to read at least one book over the summer. The grade level and book choices are provided on the RHHS website in the link below.

Additionally, students enrolled in honors level or AP level mathematics, science, English, and social studies courses may have summer reading, research, or other activities and assignments. Open House & Chromebook Distribution

RHHS will host our annual Open House on Monday, July 29th, 5-7pm.

As we did last year, an informal Open House will be offered from noon-4pm for returning 10th, 11th and 12th grade students. These students/parents may visit the school between noon-4pm on July 29th and visit their child's advisor and meet teachers. It is less formal because these students are returning to RHHS and generally have fewer questions than our rising 9th graders and new students. I encourage returning students and their parents to use this option if they would like. During this time, noon-4pm, returning students can pick up their chromebooks from advisors. Returning students are certainly always welcome during the formal Open House, 5-7pm, but during this time, we will not be able to distribute chromebooks. Returning students who do not pick up their chromebooks on Monday between noon-4pm will pick it up on the first day of school.

9th graders and students new to RHHS will pick up their chromebooks on Tuesday or Wednesday, July 30 or 31, 7am-7pm. Distribution will take place in the LiNK on west campus (this is the campus that faces Harris Trail). Also, students wanting to use their own laptop must come and have it registered. The process should take only 10 minutes.

Senior pictures-update

Each senior is fully responsible for making his/her appointment for his/her senior pictures. There are still appointments available. If you are a rising senior and have not yet made your appointment, please do this today!

Office Hours for RHHS- update

RHHS office hours will be 9am-3:30pm, Monday-Friday, July 15th-July 26th.

Please make a note that RHHS will be fully closed on Wednesday, July 24th until 1pm so that all faculty and staff can attend our district-wide convocation.

Beginning Tuesday, July 30th, RHHS office hours will return to our normal school day office hours of 7am-3:30pm.

SAT and ACT test dates and registration information

The SAT and ACT are given several times throughout each school year. Please click the links below for additional information about test dates, registration deadlines, and information about how to register.

Fee waivers are available for students on free/reduced lunch. Students should talk to their counselor for more information.
